Was Last Year’s first game on Monday?

Or maybe "twas on a Friday.

I really cannot remember,

But we’d waited since September.

It was a day in early Spring.

The earth was full of growing things

And people with smiling faces,

Were full of fun – going places.

I know exactly now the day

When baseball was about to play,

And everyone from far and near

Was going to that first game that year.

It wasn’t Monday or Friday.

I know now that it was Sunday/

The Tigers beat them 10 to 3.

I have a perfect memory.
