Rain There’ll be extra blankets on the bed tonight. Winter’s chill is in the air. Once more the leaves tumble to the ground And the trees all look so bare While the rain comes down. The dreary dampness is our companion As Summer bids us adieu And the fog comes in like a thief in the night Which really spoils our view While the rain comes down. C.J.H. ~~ 1975 --- Christina Hare |
